The Mazingira Association, whose name is inspired by the word “environment” in Kiswahili language, promotes projects that integrate environmental sustainability in international solidarity interventions, increase environmental awareness, preserve the natural environment and improve the living conditions of local populations.
Mazingira was founded in 2010 within the MUSE (Science Museum of Trento) to promote a model of environmental development cooperation that aims to integrate man and environment through sustainable ecological interventions, with the core concept that:
There is well-being only where there is an intact and healthy environment.
